How to Transition Your Wardrobe from Summer to Fall!
It might still feel like summer, but it's time to start thinking about fall fashion! I know, I know – it's hot out there. But believe me, the best time to shop for fall clothes is now. Last year, I learned the hard way: if you wait until you actually need a coat or sweater, it'll be sold out. So, let's dive into how to transition your wardrobe effortlessly into fall.
Audit Your Closet:
Take a critical look at what you already have. What pieces can you easily adapt for fall? Think lightweight knits, versatile jackets, and classic staples.
Once you've assessed your wardrobe, you can pinpoint any gaps that need filling.
Introduce Fall Colors:
Start with a neutral base like black, white, gray, or beige.
Add depth and warmth with fall-inspired hues like burnt orange, golden yellow, sage green, burgundy, and bright red.
Mix and Match Summer and Fall:
Don't rush to pack away your summer favorites! With the right styling, you can extend their life into the season.
Styling Example
Summer piece: Flowy dress or skirt (any length)
Fall addition: Leather jacket or Blazer, boots
How to style:
Layer: Throw your jacket over your dress.
Footwear: Swap your summer sandals for boots of choice. This will give your outfit a more fall-appropriate look, like this, this or this.
Accessories: Add a knit scarf for extra warmth and a cozy vibe. Finish by adding jewelry and a handbag.
Invest in Layering Pieces: Layering is key to transitional dressing.
Lightweight Jacket: A denim jacket, leather jacket, or bomber is perfect for mild fall days. Layer it over summer dresses, basic tees, or lightweight sweaters for effortless fall style.
Trench Coat: A classic trench coat is both stylish and practical. Whether dressed up or down, rain or shine, it’s a wardrobe staple I highly recommend.
Blazer: A blazer can elevate any outfit, from casual to formal. Layer it over dresses, button-down shirts, graphic tees or soft knits.
I hope this was helpful! By following these tips, you can easily transition your wardrobe from summer to fall and stay stylish all season long! Let me know if you have any questions.
Things I've been loving:
Suede bags are everywhere, and they easily elevate any outfit. This is a collection of all the suede bags that have caught my eye, each one adding a touch of chic, understated elegance to your fall wardrobe.
This Manu Atelier bag blends sophistication with practicality. This beautiful brown color exudes sophistication with its buckle detail and two top handles.
This olive green tote from JW Pei is the perfect blend of chic and casual. It's like your go-to friend for any adventure.
This rum-colored pillow pouch is the ultimate night-out accessory. It's small but mighty, and it'll hold all your essentials with style.
This octagon-shaped evening bag is a conversation starter! It's the perfect way to add a touch of drama to your outfit.
The Khaite Lotus Mini tote is the epitome of understated elegance. Its knot details and structured silhouette are simply stunning. It unfortunately is sold out but definitely caught my eye during my search.
This suede clutch is a chameleon because not sure what color you’d call it. It's olive green, it's brown, it's dark tan. No matter what you call it, it's a stunning addition to any outfit.
The Row Margaux is the ultimate luxury accessory. It's like a fashion statement wrapped up in a bag. If you're looking for something truly special & an investment piece, this is it. Not only is the bag sold out, but I have found a few where the price makes sense. Shop them here and here.

COLOR ALERT
Burgundy | Deep Red | Merlot
Imagine a rich, velvety burgundy, a deep mysterious red, or a sophisticated merlot. These hues are making a stunning comeback this fall! Whether you're looking to elevate your everyday style or create a bold statement, these colors are sure to add a touch of luxury. So, the next time you're shopping, keep an eye out for this color and consider adding a piece or two to your wardrobe.
Through trial and error (and with some help from my dermatologist!), I've discovered amazing skincare products with Korean brands that won't break the bank. From hydrating serums to gentle exfoliators, these products have transformed my routine. I just had to share because these are too good to gatekeep!
Just spotted the perfect slouchy off-the-shoulder sweater at Oak + Fort, and boy is it good! I’d style it a bit oversized, just like in the photos, for that effortlessly cozy, yet chic vibe you can wear all season long.
– and because you are on the list you’re getting early access a whole day early.
This coat's sewn-on scarf adds a playful touch, and I love the way it can be draped over the shoulder. I immediately wanted this one but it's totally sold out, so I'm a little heartbroken, but let's move on! Underneath, I paired a simple yet luxurious tee with cuffed wide-leg jeans for a cool, effortless vibe. Adding a brown belt with gold details cinches everything together quite nicely. To elevate the look, I chose brown booties with the perfect heel height and a pointed toe that peek out just right. I finished off the outfit with textured earrings and a brown suede tote bag. And did you notice the charms on the bag? They're my latest obsession, adding a touch of personality and sophistication.

New York Fashion Week - Spring/Summer 2024
Ok, let’s dive into NYFW! For those who may not know, the shows we’re seeing now are for Spring/Summer 2025. However, you'll often notice elements carrying into the next season, making them relevant sooner than you think. And if you're wondering, why am I sharing this with you? Well, it's my job to keep you in the loop—and let’s be honest, it's fun!
Now, this isn’t about chasing every trend—actually, I don’t recommend that at all. But I do understand that your style might evolve, or you may have an event coming up, and suddenly you're shopping, wondering, 'Is this even in style?' That’s where I come in. I also get a lot of questions about how to weave some of these trends into everyday outfits. So with that being said, I want to highlight what I’m seeing that’s not only on-trend but also realistic to incorporate—because trust me, you'll start spotting these in stores soon enough.
So without further ado, here’s what I’m seeing on the runway:
Draping: Lots of off-the-shoulder elements that adds a chic touch.
Sheer: Lightweight, breezy silhouettes perfect for layering under or over other pieces.
Western Elements: Fringe, belts, and studs are sticking around from Fall/Winter.
Stripes: Vertical, horizontal, mixed—you name it. Stripes are being reimagined in fresh ways.
Silk/Satin Fabrics: Always love this one. So feminine and flowy! These fabrics also look stunning oversized due to their natural drape.
Lace: Incorporated in different silhouettes adding a romantic, textured touch to an outfit.
Color: It might be too early to call, but so far I'm seeing cobalt blue, buttery yellow, and cherry red making appearances. I’ll keep an eye out and report back!
Here are a few designers that resonated with me from Day 1 and 2!
So, what do you think so far? Which "trends" are a Yay or Nay for you? I'd love to hear your thoughts! Stay tuned for next Sunday’s full report, where I’ll break down how you can easily incorporate these runway trends into your own wardrobe.
